The best collection of pop songs we've heard in a long time, with some wonderful singing and killer arrangements.
12.04.06 | MAM writing sessions Francois Michaud and Viviane Arnoux are flying in from Paris for a week long of writing in preparation for the next MAM project. This will be the sixth record they do together. Check the music area of this site for some previews.

Crazy schedule with three versions of every song being worked on at the same time. The next 9 months will be intense or will not be.
07.10.06 | Fab and Tim K producing a remix for Kirk Whalum and Issac Hayes Fab and Tim aka The Pure are working on a remix of 'Loved You in Memphis' Chicago Step style.
The 80's throw back vibe they went for complement Isaac's deep voice and Kirk's sweet horn perfectly.
06.24.06 | Mastering Billy Ward's next crazy Jazz record Billy Ward (Jim Beard, Bill Evans Supergroup, Leni Stern, George Russell and Living Time Orchestra, pop artists The Knack, Jimmy Webb, Carly Simon, Richard Marx, ex-KISS star Ace Frehley's Comet, and unclassifiable talents like Bill Champlin, Robbie Robertson, Yoko Ono, and Chris Whitley, Joan Osborne, etc, etc) has asked Fab to master his next Jazz effort.
The 88k ProTools mixes will be layed off to tape to avoid downsampling and mastered throug the new upstairs setup.
ATR makes tape again. Yoohoo.

The album is executive-produced by Randy Jackson.
06.16.06 | Off to TapeOp conference Fab will be partaking in the TapeOp festivities in Tucson, AZ (Now officially pronounced, tû-k-sûn)
He will be sitting on 'The Best Of Both Worlds' and the 'Mixing In The Box" panels. (Probably as the devil's advocate on the latter)

05.17.06 | AES in Gay Paris Fab will be featured on the Sony Oxford and Dangerous Music booths, dissecting mixes and telling bad jokes during the AES show in Paris.
There might be some overeating here and there. You never know.
05.05.06 | 21st Century spots picked up for radio Three of the four TV ads produced by the Freedom Writers for 21st Century Insurance at pureMix have been picked up for a joint national radio ad campaign.
We're VERY happy with this one :-)
04.28.06 | Happy Rhodes master completed Chris Muth mastered Happy Rhodes' much awaited new CD in the new pureMix room. He used pureMix's basic mastering rig and added a touch of his Great River stereo EQ and some good ol ADR Compex hits on some tracks.
It sounds glorious all around.
The wait is over. Yeah.
04.27.06 | National TV Ad campaign pureMix's parent jingle company "The Freedom Writers" have won the bid for the national TV ad campign for the 21st Century Insurance company via the AFG agency.
All four spots have been entirely written, tracked and produced in the new upstairs room.
They will be broadcasted on all major cable networks this summer.
04.20.06 | First Master completed upstairs The very first record to be mastered upstairs is the new Jon Albrink record, produced by Billy Ward.
Great songs, killer production and a very vintage feeling sound.
It was mastered through our brand new Dangerous Master console, GML2030 compressor, GML 9500 Eq and other various toys, throught he unbelievable Focal SM11 speakers.

04.14.06 | Grammy win We just came across the fact that the epic 'Toots and the Maytals' tracking sessions that Fab did here at pureMix led to a Grammy win for best Reggae album of the year in 2004.
So it's official: Grammy award winning tracks can be cut here. The ban is over.

03.15.06 | First series of mixes completed in the new room Our very first mixes in the new room came out rocking.
The artist's name is Chris Gunther, all tracks are produced by Tim K.
