With a song idea in place, it's time to bring in the artist, Jared Evan.

Jared Evan is a singer-songwriter, record producer, and rapper from New York who burst onto the scene in 2009, at the age of 20, when he signed a deal with Zone 4/Interscope records with the support of Jimmy Iovine.

Since the beginning of his career, Jared has released 3 EPs, toured the United States with OneRepublic, and collaborated with artists like Statik Selektah, Joey Badass, Action Bronson, and many more. Jared has amassed a massive cult fan following, which helped his collaboration album, "Boom Bap & Blues," shoot to number 8 on the iTunes R&B/Soul charts in a few short hours after his release.

Jared is currently working on his next record, "Dark Days,", which with any luck, the song he and ill Factor are about to write will be included.

ill Factor
Ivan Corraliza, professionally known as ill Factor, began creating music where most everyone begins, in the bedroom fueled by ambition and a dream to turn his hobby into a full-time job. Countless hours of music-making and tweaking led to some moments of frustration while trying to get his music noticed. However, everything changed when Ivan sought out a mentor and was blessed to be taken under the wing of Jimmy Douglass. Jimmy is a veteran in the music industry with more than forty-plus years of experience working with artists from Aretha Franklin to Justin Timberlake. He began sharing his network and insights into the Industry with Ivan, which helped Ivan create relationships with artists and industry professionals, turning his hobby of making music into a career.

26:58, "I could just delete the whole idea, ." " Yh and we could just make a totally new song" LMAO,. But for real, after that they did indeed change the song and I liked it less, the vibe they had all the way till min 27 was dope, in my opinion, then after it kinda started to drop, I didn't feel the new chords. As a producer myself, I've been there, and it's part of the process, just have to let the session sit a day or two, come back and listen to what I have made with a fresh pair of ears and make the decisions. But all in all an epic session, I can appreciate the talent.

Good video about workflow and the use of ableton, but i felt that the elements are not related and not talking to each ohter. There is a lack of cohesion between the bass line, harmony and vocal melody. It feels like each one belongs to a different song.

Excellent video and info! Will have to go back and see the setup on the midi track to the audio track with the waves real tune on it and replicate that. Happy to see this as a process/approach I use with just myself and royalty free vocals. Great to see the idea generation process and interaction between both of you!
