Pro Video

11min

(18)

Once again, the pureMix team performed on the Sweetwater Gearfest theater stage. Fab and Ben recorded The Liza Colby Sound, live, no safety net, showing how to place microphones, use preamps and process audio in real time while recording it.

This is Part 2 of this seminar, dealing with overheads and snare recording.

The band was tracked with a full line of Lauten Audio (Atlantis, Clarion) and Blue (Mouse, Dragonflies, Stage 2 Bottle) microphones, UAD Apollo preamps and plugins, Manley (TNT Cool & Hot Pre, Dual Mono Pre) preamps, Dangerous Bax Eq, monitored through a Dangerous D-box and a pair of Focal Twins 6 and CMS Sub speakers.

Thanks for these videos. I working on the song right now and its great to hear and see the people how played it. Its good to know the mics that you used, I can take that along in the mixing process! PS: You should have ignored the audience choice concerning the snare mic setting - HaHA....I liked the first mic setting much better (fuller sound) and it's gone take me hours to get it sound as fat again. Thanks , Roland Stolk

Every time I try to watch this video the image dissapears and is replaced by a greyed out logo and I can't get the video back. Now, I paid allot of money to be able to watch these videos, one year subcription, and if I can't even watch your basic videos, then, what's the point, really?!?!?!? I'm trying to watch these videos on an iPhone 4gs, if that helps. I just want what I paid for, that's all. Please help if you can, if not, please refund my money. Thank you. P.S. I really do love the website and want to learn AMAP. Thanks.
