A much needed video to hear other music in a structural manner. I listened to music I couldn't stand but I learned something. Always a pleasure.

Correct me, but i would say that the song “Mexico“ by Jefferson Airplane is also a through composed song.

It all starts with the song, without which we have nothing to record and mix. Best explanation I've heard... the hands on approach really helps. Thank you and until next time... I'll wait.

Excellent or should i say fab ;) Finding structure: I agree with you , but 10 is in my mind more a alternate chorus. But first it was strange i start 2 with verse 1 but as 3 comes around i wrote bridge but then after 4, 5 comes in, and i knew that 2 is chorus and 3 is verse, then it was really easy, tough example, but very nice, the song is great btw. Thanks for this tutorial, great!

This has to be one of your best educational tutorials yet, even though all your work's explanation tutorials are great. Learned a lot. My belief is to get that hook of the song in early....many wait or wonder if their is one...Excellent !

"Go ahead! I'll wait"... ha ha ha You're a very patient guy Fab, I let you wait for a very long time and you did not complain :-). More seriously, thanks for this very instructive video. It's not always about plugins, compression and EQs, c'est une chose que j'apprécie beaucoup. Cheers from France.

Good discussion & examples. I actually agreed with your take on the Amy Reagan song (so, either I'm a geek like this, too, or I'm at least paying attention!). Cold Play & Brittney? :^)
