Amazing look into a session with a legend in a legendary space. I'm sorry Ken considers himself a dinosaur and his sound to be "old". That's like saying a home cooked meal is "old and outdated". This is how audio should sound in my not so humble opinion. Just beautiful. Thank you all.

Ken is my favorite mentor. Bought his Epik Drums dvd a while back and I’m so happy to see Puremix show more of this guy’s magic. Seems simple but there’s lots of nuance. Please more from Ken in the future!

I love the STF series and have learned a lot.
But somehow the sound in the mixing videos (episode 10 and 11) is not right. It sounds washed out in places. Is it just me or did something go wrong when creating the video? Episode 12 sounds perfect.

Thank you Puremix and Ken and team for giving an insight in your production process!!! The English humor sometimes was there also...For free! :) Cheers, Jeroen Simons, Independent, ex- Epica.

Learned a lot watching this video. Thanks Pure Mix. Interestingly, Ken Scott is not listed as the producer for this song. Wonder what happened.

Good video series for Start to Finish. Fab saved the day with the kick drum issue.
If you search YouTube for the video to "One Way Out," it's a different performance, including a middle "16" with extended guitar solo. ha!
From Heir's instagram account: "After 10 years of music making we’ve come to the decision that 2023 will be our final year together as Heir. With a decade’s worth of memories behind us we feel now is the right time to move on to new musical endeavours."

Love the back and forth between Fab and Ken about getting the kick tone correct. I'd abandoned using the RE20 years ago on the kick, but after hearing these guys get it into a sweet spot, inspired me to dig out an RE20 and give it another go. Would love to know if the RE20 Ken liked was EQ'd (high pass on?)!?!?
